💼 CAF, a leading company in global rail mobility solutions, has trusted Visual Factory Calibre to unify calibration management across all its Vehicle Business plants.
This standardization has not only centralized information and improved traceability but also established common criteria and automated key actions in the calibration subprocess.

📍We share the full testimonial from Juan Fco Rodríguez, Head of Calibrations for the Vehicle Business at CAF:

CAF has been working with ELECSOFT’s Visual Factory Calibre software for several years, but in an isolated way, without maintenance or updates.
 In 2022, the decision was made to launch a unification project for the software across all CAF Vehicle Business plants, from a single server and with a single version for everyone.
 With the implementation of Visual Factory Calibre, it has been possible to unify and organize a systematic approach to the calibration subprocess at CAF, achieving the following improvements:

  • Establish a single family criterion

  • Define common acceptance criteria for each tool family

  • Automatically notify equipment owners when expiration dates approach

  • Generate equipment certificates directly through the software, since CAF’s internal calibration instructions have been integrated

  • Extract calibration indicators from the subprocess using the software

This software has also been implemented in other CAF businesses, such as RRSS (Maintenance Business), in the WEB version, with the same results. It is currently being installed in the Rehabilitations Business.

📏 How do you calculate the uncertainty of your measuring equipment? Manually, with Excel, with scattered formulas?
